1869, 90¢ carmine & black, without grill, . Scott 122a. An enormously rare stamp in a quality that almost defies description with large margins and almost perfect centering, bright vivid colors and virtually full original gum, a magnificent example Extremely Fine 90, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.

1847, 10¢ black, diagonal bisect, . Scott 2a. On a June 28, 1851 folded letter to New York tied by red square grid but without the matching New York postmark, the letter is from the Philadelphia & New York Steam Transportation Co. and is on that company's illustrated letterhead bill of lading featuring a steamboat towing a rather large barge, the bill of lading is for a shipment of ale which was towed by the "Anthracite" via Delaware and Raritan canal, the accompanying P.S.E. certificate states that this is an over paid drop letter rate, however it is conceivable that this letter was carried by hand on the "Anthracite" and deposited in the mail upon arrival in New York, since the stamp was uncancelled the clerk dutifully obliterated the bisect with the red grid and did not use the New York postmark as New York was not the point of origin of the letter, whatever the case, this is a significant 1847 cover being a very late use, very likely the only 10¢ '47 bisect on illustrated letterhead stationery, and if a drop letter rate then also possibly unique, Fine, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.

1895, 1¢-$5 watermarked issue complete, imperf proofs on stamp paper, . Scott 264P-278P. A marvelous opportunity to own this handsome rare set of which there are only 50 sets of pairs possible, blocks of course being much more rare, an incredibly rare set in mint blocks of four, large to huge margins all around and with beautiful strong colors, 1¢, 2¢, 4¢, 5¢, and 6¢ few small faults (one or two stamps each), 10¢ has a thin in the bottom right stamp and the $1 has a minor gum wrinkle, all others and the top two dollar values are sound, otherwise Extremely Fine, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.

1909, 4¢ orange brown, bluish paper, . Scott 360. Wonderfully fresh, original gum, bright color, Fine 75, signed "Sa" in pencil (Spencer Anderson) and with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.
This bluish paper value along with the eight cent are two of the greatest rarities of twentieth century U.S. philately. Neither value was intended for public distribution and there was only one sheet of 100 each of the two denominations printed. It is generally believed that approximately 90 of each value survives today with the eight cent being a very few examples scarcer than the four cent.

Proprietary, 1874, $5 green & black, green paper, . Scott RB10b. Used, cleaned cancellation, defective, repaired and regummed, Fine centering, with 2005 P.S.E. certificate.
This is one of the great rarities of all revenue issues. It is generally believed that there are only three or four true green paper $5 proprietary examples in existence and they are probably all faulty (this example and one other for sure).

1917, 5¢ carmine error, imperf, . Scott 485. one of the great rarities of twentieth century U.S. philately, original gum block of sixteen, the error in position 14 and never hinged, some of the 2¢ stamps are never hinged too, fresh, large to huge margins, tiny natural inclusion in the margin above the error stamp, Extremely Fine, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.
It is generally accepted that only 144 error stamps were printed, 96 of which are most likely going to remain forever as double error blocks. Therefore, probably only 48 are available singly or in other multiple forms with 2¢ stamps.
