Lot 426

1793 S-11b R4 Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge PCGS graded F15. Variety with Two Leaves following DOLLAR. Mostly glossy light olive and steel. The surfaces are mostly smooth and the eye appeal is excellent, but a glass reveals extremely fine roughness in protected areas on the lower part of the reverse. No verdigris, just a few small marks. The notable ones are three faint, very old pin scratches in the field behind the head, a small planchet chip high on the cheek, and another at the bottom of the T in UNITED. M-LDS, Breen state III, with obvious die clashmarks from the chin down to the bottom of the neck. The date and legends are complete and easily readable, and the edge lettering is bold. A very nice example of this Lettered Edge Wreath Cent. Our grade is VG8. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP

Realized $6,463
