Lot 288

1810 S-283 R2 PCGS graded XF40. Frosty chocolate brown and steel with traces of lighter steel brown in protected areas. No spots or corrosion, just light friction on the highpoints and a few contact marks. The only notable mark is a scratch up from the left edge of the L in LIBERTY to the rim above. M-LDS, Breen state III. The dies are worn, the fields are flowlined, most of the dentils are gone, and the inside part of the ear is flat from die polishing. Our grade is VF35+ sharpness net VF30. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 58+, 1 in 62 for the variety. PCGS #36478. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
