1794 S-70 R2 Head of 1795 PCGS graded VF30, CAC Approved. Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with a small splash of slightly darker chocolate brown toning at ST in STATES. No verdigris or roughness, only trivial contact marks. The best identifying marks, and they are not visible to the unaided eye, are a tiny planchet chip just left of the mouth and a very faint hairline scratch near the dentils under the bust tip. M-LDS, Breen state III. The die crack at TY down to the forehead is strong and both sides show die clashmarks, including a clear impression of the nose under ER in AMERICA. Our grade is VF20. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3 in VF; 6 finer for the variety. PCGS #35693. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
