Roman Judaea, 3rd-4th Century AD. Unusual Sprinkler Flask. In heavy leaf-green glass with wide funnel mouth with folded throat, a short flaring neck with interior diaphragm, and ovoid body resting on six pinched feet of mixed green and blue colors. Also, blue trailed handles at the side and a notched bluish ring encircles the neck. Intact and apparently perfect with silvery to mottled magenta and green iridescence with areas of intense color. Well made and robust. A rare variant to the usual sprinkler flasks. Height: 4".
