Roman Judaea, 2nd-3rd Century AD, Large Green Glass Pitcher. The pitcher free blown with the body of broad drop-shape on folded high foot. The neck narrrows whilte the mouthis wide and funnel-like, folded to form a narrow channel. Decorative trailed rings at the neck and below the rim. Modest repair to a small part of the vessel's shoulder, otherwise, superb with magnificent iridescense - ranging from silver to green with subtle blues, magentas and violet hues. Vessels of this size are quite rare. Height: 8¾"
