Judaea, Bar Kokhba Revolt. Silver Zuz (3.14 g), 132-135 CE. Year 2 (133/4 CE). 'Shim'' (abbreviating Shi'mon), in triangular form within a wreath of thin branches wrapped around eight almonds, medallion at top, and tendrils below. Reverse: 'Year two of the freedom of Israel', palm branch. Hendin 1390; Mildeberg 14 (O4/R9); TJC 245. Extremely Rare - only two specimens recorded by Mildenberg. Lightly toned. Extremely Fine. Estimate Value $2,500 - 3,000

Mildenberg notes that the "completely straight palm branch on [reverse die] R9 is unique throughout the coinage."
