Lot 97

1831 N-3 R1 Medium Letters PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty light to medium brown and tan with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Mint luster covers all but the highpoints and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. Looks mint state but there is a trace of friction on the highest points of the devices. The only notable mark is a spot of darker toning over star 4. MDS. Fine radial flowlines cover the fields on both sides. Our grade is AU55. Noyes says AU50, his photo #38086. The attribution and Koshkarian provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 7 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $700 - UP
