Lot 96

1831 N-1 R1 Large Letters PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous uniform medium brown. Satiny mint frost covers all but the very highest points of the devices and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal. No spots or stains, essentially a flawless cent except for a few microscopic ticks on the jaw. A minor planchet clip that affects the dentils between stars 2 & 3 and the opposing ones at D-S is the best identifying feature of this attractive cent. MDS with a die crack through the date and many of the stars (an uncracked example is unknown and may not exist). Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Koshkarian provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 64 for the variety. Estimate Value $1,250 - UP
