Lot 690

1810 S-283 R2 Classic Head VF25. Sharpness EF40 but there are some contact marks scattered over the obverse and extremely fine granularity in the fields on the reverse. The notable marks are 5 dull pinpricks around the 810 in the date and some old horizontal pin scratches in the hair over BERT. Mostly glossy olive brown and steel with a small area of reddish brown toning at the bottom of the neck. MDS, Breen state II, with die clashmarks on the obverse and a die flaw in the dentils at stars 4-7. There is a strong double profile along the front edge of the neck and weaker doubling along the bottom of the jaw (from die bounce). Estimate Value $750 - UP
