(1792-4) Kentucky Token with Plain Edge Breen-1155 PCGS graded MS64 Red. Frosty mint red mellowing to steel brown with at least half of the faded mint color remaining visible. Sharply struck and nearly flawless. The notable marks are a tiny rim nick over the T in THE on the obverse and a couple specks of darker toning at the end of the rays down from the NJ star on the reverse. Earlier die state with a barely visible die crack down through the U in OUR at the top of the scroll. A premium example of this popular Early American "Cent." Listed on page 77 in the "Redbook." Pop 2; none finer at PCGS. Tied for the finest examples graded at both services. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
