1652 Massachusetts Pine Tree Threepence Noe-34 R4 PCGS graded VF35. Type with pellets on either side of the tree trunk. Glossy medium brownish gray and steel with slightly lighter toning on the highpoints. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable mark is a tiny dent at the rim left of the date. The tiny Pine Tree, date, denomination, and pellets at the tree trunk are all strong. Struck with the obverse slightly misaligned to K-11 while the reverse is off a bit to K-7. A nice example of this scarce denomination. Listed on page 41 in the "Redbook." Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
