Lot 498

1848 N-21 R3- PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive frosty medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent offers choice mint state eye appeal. The only notable marks are a dull, barely visible nick of scuff on the nostril and a thin diagonal nick right of star 13. MDS, die state c. Crumbling is visible in both the top and bottom of the E in CENT but there is no trace of crumbling inside the bottom of the R in AMERICA. Our grade is AU58+, very close to MS60.
