1807/6 S-273 R1 Overdate Large 7 over 6 VF25. Sharpness EF40 or slightly better but the cent is toned a rather dark olive brown and there are traces of fine verdigris caked into the protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are glossy and the only notable contact marks are a pinprick on the jawline, a couple hairlines in the hair at the top of the head, a very fine scratch in the field before the face, and another near the dentils under the hair ribbon. MDS, Breen state III. There is a bulge in the field left of the lower curls but the rim cud break at STA has not formed. The date is strong and the overdate feature is obvious. Not perfect but still attractive. Estimate Value $300 - UP
