1787 Fugio Cent Newman 12-S Rarity-5 VF25. A STATES UNITED type. Sharpness VF35 but there are a few contact marks on an otherwise attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown planchet. The notable marks are a horizontal nick on the O in ONE and an old scratch through the three rings at the bottom of the reverse. Neither of these marks is distracting and the eye appeal of this piece is excellent. Better than the Newman plate coin for the variety and superior to the Ford example. An important piece for the serious Fugio Cent collector. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
