1794 S-32 R2 F12+. Sharpness closer to VF20 but this cent was lightly cleaned and has retoned glossy light chocolate brown and steel with a subtle hint of bluish steel overtone. There are a few shallow pits in the field before the face and another near the rim before the neck. Otherwise the planchet is smooth. No verdigris and the only notable contact mark is a rim bruise at UN in UNITED. M-LDS, Breen state IV. The die crack through the first S in STATES is quite strong and it extends through the wreath to where ON in ONE is bulged. There are 5 sets of die clashmarks on the reverse which is rotated 25 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot orientation. Estimate Value $500 - UP
