Lot 201

1802 S-232 R1 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty olive brown and steel with a few puffs of lighter reddish steel brown toning on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent offers excellent eye appeal, especially on the obverse. The only notable marks are a dull tick left of the top of the C in CENT and a faint scratch over the right side of the A in STATES. Sharply struck MDS, Breen state IV, with three dentils fused under the 1 in the date and fine die cracks at OF and M. The T over Y feature in LIBERTY is obvious. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Reynolds provenance are noted on the PCGS Secure label. Pop 1; 1 finer in 64 at PCGS for the variety . Estimate Value $5,000 - UP
