1802 S-229 R2 PCGS graded XF45. Frosty steel and chocolate brown with traces of lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. A lightly worn cent with no spots, stains, or roughness, only trivial contact marks. A small diagonal nick right of the second S in STATES can help identify this cent. MDS, Breen state V, showing strong die clashmarks on the obverse, especially before the face, and a fine crack through TES in STATES. Graded VF35 net VF30 and tied for CC#7 in the Noyes census, his photo #60610. Our grade is VF30. The attribution and Reynolds provenance are noted on the PCGS Secure label.
