1907. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. PCGS graded MS-65. Light gold tone and well struck with incredible three dimensional depth, an artistic triumph what has yet to be surpassed by any coin design. These powerful features on the obverse and reverse stand tall and a testament to the genius of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a well known sculptor of his day. His goal, and that of President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt was achieved, that such a coin could be conceived and struck for circulation. Finding this issue in Gem grades has always been a challenge, as so few collectors could resist examining these coins, there is almost always some degree of cabinet friction and handling marks. If you have been seeking a glorious example of this treasured issue, then here is one to pursue.A coin that is always in demand. Only 11,250 struck (PCGS # 9135) Estimate Value $40,000 - 45,000
