1834 N-3 R1 Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous bluish steel and light olive brown with traces of mellowed mint red on both sides, especially on the reverse. The only notable marks, and they are microscopic, are a tiny planchet flake on the temple right of the eye and a bit of carbon nestled under the top of the T in CENT. LDS with a clear die crack from the dentils under the 4 through stars 13 & 12 to the dentils under star 11. The repunching on much of ONE CENT remains visible and the repunching under the C in AMERICA is nearly gone. Graded MS63 and tied for CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #32061. Our grade is MS62. The attribution and Koshkarian provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer, 1 in 65, 1 in 65+, 1 in 66. Estimate Value $2,200 - UP
