1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin G5. A couple points sharper but there is a subtle bulge in the planchet at the end of the chin caused by a nick hidden in the wreath right of the T in CENT. The devices are smooth but the fields and protected areas show fine granularity, mostly on the reverse. Slightly glossy dark olive brown with lighter chocolate toning on the devices. E-MDS, Manley state 2.5, a die state called "Extremely Rare" by Manley. The die crack at OF is clear and it reaches the rim over the adjacent A, but the crack at MER has not formed. The date and legends are complete and clear. Estimated Value $200-UP

Ex Doug Bird 5/2008.

Realized $323
