1917-S Liberty Standing 25C. Type 1 PCGS MS67 FH. PCGS graded MS-67 Full Head. A spectacular example of this popular San Francisco issue. The strike is bold throughout, including Liberty's head and all the bosses on the shield. Mostly bright silver but with handsome golden accents noted around the rims and devices. A loupe finds virtually no signs of handling, and the surfaces are miraculous in quality. The Type 1 quarters were only issued for a few months before the demand went out to change the design and cover Liberty's exposed breast. Sadly this was done and the Type 2 style was born. This coin is a true delight. Pop 13; 2 finer in 67+. (PCGS # 5711) Estimated Value $7,500 - 8,000
