1804 C-13 R1 Plain 4 without Stems PCGS graded XF45. Glossy olive brown and chocolate mixed with lighter frosty brown on both sides. No roughness or verdigris, only small contact marks, none notable. EDS, Manley state 1.0. Weakly struck at UNITED, which is characteristic of the early state, and the dentils are sharp. This piece was struck twice with an offset of less than a millimeter between the impressions. Nonetheless, the doubling is obvious on all the design elements on both sides, strongest along the profile of Ms Liberty. The "Mint Error" and "Double Struck in Collar" features are noted on the PCGS label. Our grade is VF35. Estimated Value $300-UP

Realized $646
