1813 S-293 R2 NGC graded AU50. Frosty olive brown with slightly lighter chocolate brown toning on the devices. No roughness or verdigris, only minor contact marks. The notable ones are a pinprick on the bust, a few more in the field right of star 2, and a very light scratch between stars 4 & 5. E-MDS, Breen state IV (Breen's die states II and IV are reversed), with a fine die crack through the tops of ITED and through the bottoms of ED-S. The dentils are clearly defined around the entire obverse and most of the reverse. A nice example of this Classic Head cent. Our grade is EF40 sharpness net VF35. Estimated Value $1,500-UP
