1812 S-289 R1 Large Date VF25. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown with lots of frosty lighter brown in protected areas, especially on the reverse. Smooth and quite nice for the grade, void of any notable marks or other defects. MDS with die clashmarks inside the wreath. In addition stars 1-7 are sharply doubled as is the truncation of the bust over the first 1, a result of die bounce. The repunching at the left top of the 2 remains clear. Estimated Value $400-UP
