1812 S-288 R2 Large Date ANACS graded Unc Details Reverse Corroded Net EF40. Lustrous olive and dark bluish steel. The obverse is choice with outstanding eye appeal but there is fine roughness along the left edge of the reverse affecting UNITED STAT plus a patch of similar roughness under the end of the wreath stem. Specks of shallow verdigris are visible in those roughened areas. Otherwise the reverse is choice as well. LDS, Breen state III. The legend at the upper part of the reverse is solidly joined to the rim. Our grade is MS60 sharpness net EF40, consistent with the ANACS assessment. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label.
