Lot 279

1811 S-287 R2 VF30. Sharpness EF40 or slightly better but there is an area of fine roughness at UNITED, strongest at ED where there are specks of raised verdigris. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and very attractive, and the obverse is choice. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Sharply struck EDS, Breen state I. There are no bulges or die clashmarks and the dentils are sharp. A nice example in spite of the area of minor roughness on the reverse. Estimated Value $500-UP

Ex R. J. Rudolph Collection.
