1849 N-28 R3 AU50. Frosty light to medium chocolate brown. Sharply struck and very attractive showing only a few minor contact marks and very little friction on the highpoints. A pair of diagonal nicks right of star 4 and a tiny planchet chip on the rim off the end of the wreath ribbon (as struck) are the best identifying marks. EDS, die state a. A narrow rim cud shows under the date, strongest under the 4. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS63BN (NGC label #413077-064 included, and it shows the attribution).
