1835 N-2 R3 Head of 1834, Small 8 & Stars PCGS graded AU53. Attractive frosty chocolate brown and steel. No spots or stains, only very light wear and a few trivial marks. The notable defects are a small planchet flake at the dentils under the 18 (as struck) and a small diagonal nick or planchet chip under the E in ONE. MDS. The die cracks on the reverse are clear but the repunching on the U in UNITED remains visible. A very nice example of this tough die variety. Our grade is EF40+.
