Lot 491
1796 S-85 R5- Liberty Cap G5. Several points sharper but covered with fine roughness, strongest above the head where verdigris covers the protected areas. Slightly glossy steel brown on the devices with darker olive brown and steel in the fields and protected areas. The date is not strong but it is easily readable. The legends are complete, only a few letters weak.
