1794 S-71 R2 Head of 1795 PCGS graded AU58 CAC APPROVED. Slightly glossy medium brown and reddish light chocolate with a spot of darker toning on the knot of the wreath ribbon bow. The surfaces are smooth except for minor roughness on the cap into the field below. No verdigris or notable contact marks. MDS, Breen state IV. There are obvious die clashmarks on the obverse plus a couple fine die cracks, but the crack from the dentils down between the R & T in LIBERTY has not formed. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF25+.
