Lot 428
1826 C-2 R3+ Repunched 6 EF45. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown with frosty lighter steel brown in protected areas. The notable marks are a small pinprick between stars 2 & 3 and another left of the first S in STATES. Nicely struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. The fine repunching on the 6 is clear. Removed from an NGC slab graded AU58BN (NGC label #2031047-012 included, and it shows the attribution).
