Lot 415

1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 PCGS graded F15. Frosty dark steel and chocolate brown. No roughness or verdigris, only a couple trivial marks. The notable ones are a tiny rim bruise under the second 8 in the date and another at the second A in AMERICA. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The die crack at TY in LIBERTY is very light. The date is strong, the overdate is obvious, and the legends are clear. A nice lower grade example of this popular overdate. Our grade is VG10. The attribution is noted on the PCGS Label. PCGS population 5; 9 finer: 1 in 20, 1 in 25, 3 in 40, 1 in 53, 2 in 55, 1 in 64+.
Estimated Value $350-UP.

Realized $793
