1797 C-1 R2 1 Above 1 variety PCGS graded XF40. Very attractive glossy olive brown and chocolate with slightly lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. Smooth and nearly flawless, just lightly worn. The notable marks are a pinprick in the field close before the eyebrow and another in the field left of the lower end of the cap. Nicely struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. There is a minor bulge in the field left of the L in LIBERTY, a die crack down through the B in LIBERTY into the head, and another fine crack connecting the end of the pole to the dentils below. Our grade is VF25 and nearly choice. The 1 Above 1 feature is noted on the PCGS label.
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
