Lot 339

1788 Connecticut Miller 3-B.1 R5+ Struck over a Nova Constellatio F15. Choice glossy medium brown with smooth, nearly flawless surfaces. The only mark is a spot of slightly darker reddish brown toning on the T in AUCTORI. Nicely centered and well struck with the date and legends all strong. Parts of the undertype host Nova Constellatio (appears to be a 1785 Crosby 4-D variety) are clear on both sides. A very nice example of this tough variety. Weight 110.8 grains.
Estimated Value $150-UP.
Ex Mike Ringo 6/1/1989.

Realized $1,146
