Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. Silver Tetradrachm (16.79 g), 336-323 BC. Odessos, ca. 280-200 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, AΣ above OΔ monogram. Cf. Price 1157-8 and 1158A (each with third control); Topalov 30.
