1879. PCGS graded MS-67 PQ. CAC Approved. The obverse has prooflike fields. Well struck and choice. Only 3,000 examples minted and this is one of the very finest certified, in fact it is tied at the top with seven others for this date and mint. The strike is bold and Liberty's head is well frosted by the dies. Notice too how splendid the fields are, utterly free of contact! It would be hard to even imagine a finer example of this tough date and mint. Pop 8; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7580) .
