1794 C-2a R2+ Small Edge Letters VG10. Sharpness near mint state but the planchet is covered with uniform microscopic porosity. No verdigris, and the only mark is a shallow scrape out of the rim over the F in OF. Uniform dark steel and olive brown. MDS with die clashmarks on the obverse. The date and legends are complete and clear. Removed from an NGC slab graded AU Details Corroded (NCS label #5032508-002 included, and it shows the attribution). Weight 88.8 grains. Estimate Value $600 - UP
