Lot 417

1821 N-2 R1 PCGS graded AU58. Bluish steel and light olive brown. No marks or other defects, just a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. Sharply struck EDS with hard, reflective fields on both sides. All the stars have full radial lines and this cent has the look of a slightly mishandled proof strike (or at least a very early business strike from the same pair of dies). Our grade is AU55 prooflike. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 2; 4 finer at PCGS for the variety. Estimate Value $5,000 - UP

Realized $8,813
