Lot 368

1802 S-232 R1 PCGS graded AU55. Lustrous light chocolate and steel brown with traces of very faded mint color showing in a couple protected places. Looks mint state but there is a hint of rub on the very highest points of the devices. The only mark is a spot of darker toning in the field over the bust, and there are microscopic traces of carbon in the spot. MDS, Breen state IV, with die clashmarks on both sides. The T over Y feature in LIBERTY is obvious. Our grade is AU55, same as the PCGS grade. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. (NGC label #4216241-001 included). Estimate Value $2,000 - UP

Realized $2,350
