Lot 365

1801 S-221 R2 Corrected Denominator 100/000 VF35. Very attractive glossy uniform medium brown and light chocolate. This cent was cleaned and expertly retoned long ago but the color is superb and the eye appeal is outstanding. No notable marks or other defects. M-LDS, Breen state IV early, with clearly defined rim cud breaks at F-A and M but none over the adjacent E (an intermediate die state not mentioned by Breen). The Corrected Denominator feature is obvious to the unaided eye. A beautiful example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP

Realized $2,820
