Thessaly, Larissa. Silver Trihemiobol (1.29 g), ca. 356-337 BC. Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly left, hair bound with ampyx and wearing necklace. Reverse: [Λ]API [Σ/A]IΩN, Thessalian soldier, wearing petasos and cloak, on horse prancing right. Cf. BCD Thessaly II 326-7 (ethnic); HGC 4, 515. A nicely struck specimen of this small denomination. Toned. Choice Very Fine. Estimate Value $200 - 250
