1828 C-3 R1 13 Stars PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown on the devices with more than half the mint color remaining on both sides. A very nice half cent, nearly flawless. A small spot of darker toning at the dentil tips over the left top of the M in AMERICA and another hidden on a leaf over the left side of the H in HALF are the only notable marks. M-LDS, Manley state 3.0. There is a faint die clashmark from the upright of an H (in HALF) at the throat. The spine from the leaf over the H in HALF is shorter but still sharp. Our grade is MS64. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; tied for finest RB of the variety at both services. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
