Lot 154

1825 C-2 R1 NGC graded MS66 Brown. Highly lustrous medium brown and bluish steel with traces of faded mint color in a few of the protected areas on both sides. A beautiful half cent. The only marks, and they are trivial, are a subtle puff of slightly darker brown toning in the field before the eye and a light vertical scratch over the A in HALF. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The end of the wreath stem is weak but still visible, and the repunching on star 12 is clear. A very nice 1825 half cent. Our grade is MS63+, very close to MS64. NGC population 1; finest MSBN graded at both services. Estimate Value $3,000 - UP
Ex Teletrade 4/6/2003-The Green Tree Collection.

Realized $4,994
