1809/6 C-5 R1 9 over 6 or Inverted 9 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Glossy medium steel and olive brown. Mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal of this piece is excellent. No spots or stains, and the best identifying mark is a small rim nick in the dentils under the right side of the 9. Nicely struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0, with a small but clearly visible lump under the second A in AMERICA. The 9 over 6 (or inverted 9) feature is clear. A nice example of this "Redbook" variety. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 5 finer, 2 in 64, 3 in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
