1820 N-15 R2 Small Date PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown with nearly a third of the mint color remaining on both sides. The obverse is essentially flawless while there are a couple dozen small spots of darker toning sprinkled over the reverse, mostly on the upper half. MDS with microscopic lumps from die rust covering the portrait and most of the field inside the wreath. Most likely from the Randall Hoard of mint state cents dated 1816-1820. Our grade is MS63. Noyes says MS61 and tied for CC#4, his photo #27546. The attribution and Koshkarian provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; tied for finest RB of the variety at both services.
