1839/6 N-1 R3 Overdate 9 over 6 PCGS graded VF35. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth and attractive, just lightly worn. No roughness or verdigris, but there are a few small marks. The notable ones are a planchet flake on the chin (as struck), a small diagonal nick right of the flake, a collection of dull ticks around stars 10-13, and a light scratch from the coronet tip to star 7. MDS with a clear die crack from the dentils over star 3 to the center of the nose. The overdate feature is bold. Our grade is VF30 net VF25+. An attractive example of this popular overdate variety.
