1864. Bronze. NGC graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Housed in an Old Style Holder. Golden rose and tan with fiery iridescence on both sides. The surfaces and color are quite nice, with strong original mint red still present despite moderate fading. This is the first appearance of the French bronze composition, which was used through the end of this series. Pop 248; 75 finer, 1 in 65+, 69 in 66, 5 in 67.
