Large Cent Stage II Blank Planchet for 1835-1843 AU50. Glossy medium brown. A few very minor planchet imperfections (the minor flaws nearly always present on blank planchets which usually disappear when the planchet is struck) plus a small spot of dark chocolate toning surrounding a speck of reddish carbon. The rims are upset but very narrow, which is consistent with the planchets used to strike the cents of 1835-1843 (Petite Heads). Weight 165.9 grains. Estimate Value $500 - UP
