Lot 33

1800 C-1 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Lustrous mix of tan, bluish steel, and light chocolate brown with a few subtle puffs of darker olive brown toning on the reverse. Satiny mint frost covers the planchet and the eye appeal is excellent. The best identifying mark is a small spot of golden tan toning inside a puff of darker toning over the upper end of the hair ribbon. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0. Die lapping has weakened the curl left of the date and a narrow rim cud shows over LIB. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
Ex Har-Mans Coins 11/28/2005-The Green Tree Collection.
